FD Beck Insurance Brokers

History

The history of FD Beck Insurance Brokers dates way back to 1898 when J T D Beck founded a real estate business which included an agency for insurance. From there Frank Beck founded a brokerage in 1936 and during the 1950s Frank Beck’s sons joined the company and the legal name was changed from F.D. Beck & Co. Pty Ltd to F.D. Beck and Sons Pty Ltd. In 1981, Ray Pascoe became co-owner of F.D. Beck and Sons Pty Ltd trading as FD Beck Insurance Brokers and in the 1990’s Ray Pascoe took over the business. In 2008 Ray’s son Simon joined the business and in 2010 his other son Matt followed. The current business is overseen by Simon and Matthew Pascoe, both of whom have enjoyed accomplished insurance careers to date locally and overseas.

Simon Pascoe​

For the past 20 years Simon has enjoyed a career in the Insurance industry as both a broker and underwriter. Prior to being a director at FD Beck Simon had a successful 8‐year management career with one of the worlds largest general insurers, which saw him deal with and structure insurance programs for some of Australia’s largest insurance purchasers.

Matthew Pascoe

To date Matthew has enjoyed an 18‐year career both locally and abroad in the capacity as insurance broker and insurer. Prior to joining FD Beck Matthew held the position of underwriting manager for one of the country’s largest professional and financial risk insurance providers and recently undertook a 2‐year management contract with a Lloyds of London Insurance Syndicate. Both of these roles are in addition to the 4 years that were spent with one of the country’s largest insurance broking firm where he once again specialized in tailoring insurance products to meet the needs of professional service providers.
