There is a lot of discussion about the increased potential for natural disasters like cyclones, floods, and fires. Governments and major industries are making preparations, but what about small businesses?
Actually, small businesses can protect themselves in the event of a natural disaster with a well-thought-out plan. What is the bushfire attack level? What is the incline of the land? What are the typical weather patterns? Keep gutters and downpipes clear of debris and monitor the weather so you can quickly react to a sudden storm and protect vehicles from hail. Most importantly, develop a good communication and evacuation plan that includes first aid kits, data backup protocols, the posting of emergency exit routes, and having the right insurance for your company.
